Background: A industrial anti-corrosion coatings producer in North China had six months to move its main product lines to waterborne systems under stricter local VOC standards, but early formulations suffered slow surface dry and inconsistent adhesion.
Technical support: Yuanzhen’s application lab built two waterborne epoxy curing systems around the low-color E-51 resin and matching reactive diluents, supplied film-formation data across humidity conditions, and supported three rounds of field validation.
Outcome: The customer converted three flagship products within three months; all passed third-party adhesion and salt-spray testing and entered new customer supply lists. The two sides have since established a standing joint formulation development program.
